ABSENCES - Please call the office before 9:00 a.m. if your child will be absent (984-2342) Mrs. Huck will be available by 7:30 a.m. You may leave a message at any time. We also need a written excuse or doctor’s slip when student returns to school. If we do not hear from you, office personnel will call you at home or work. If we cannot contact you, the absence will be unexcused.

**PLEASE NOTE NEW ABSENCE POLICY** On page 7 of the student handbook
#3 Excessive Absences – Students may accumulate up to six (6) parent / guardian excused absences per semester. Absences beyond six will be considered unexcused. When a student has exceeded his /her limit they will be referred to the attendance officer. Parent / guardian excused absences are any absences not excused by doctor note, court document or principal approval.

SCHOOL PICTURES - Grades Preschool through eighth had pictures taken Tuesday, September 01, 2015. Proofs were sent home Wednesday, September 02, 2015.
ORDERS AND MONEY DUE IN OFFICE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11TH

WASHINGTON CO. FAIR – Good Luck to all who plan to participate at the Washington County Fair. Showing animals and completing projects takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Good Luck 4-H’ers.

MARIETTA CHILDREN’S CHOIR – There is a pamphlet in the office for students in grades 4 – 6, interested in auditioning for the Marietta Children’s Choir.

LUNCH ACCOUNTS - Please get payments in. We have several outstanding charges that need to be paid.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION – We are collecting Box Tops again this year. Please send in your Box Tops. Deadline for first turn in is November 1st.

NURSE NOTES –
• It is a requirement that all seventh and eighth grade students receive a Tdap booster. Please be sure you have provided the school with a copy.
• Flu season is rapidly approaching. Consider getting you and your children vaccinated and please encourage handwashing.
• Kindergarten: If you have not already provided proof of your child’s shot boosters, please do so ASAP.
• Lice: We will continue to screen at school. For prevention, please keep long hair in ponytail or braided. Reinforce the message to your children not to share hair items such as brushes, combs, hats or bandanas.

WILDCAT CONNECTION AND LUNCH MENUS – will be sent to your email in the future. If you have not submitted your email please do, so that we may have you on our list. Hard copies will available in the office for those without internet access.
