GIRL SCOUTS - There will be an informational meeting for girls interested in joining Girl Scouts on Friday, January 30th at 2:30 p.m. for girls in grades Kgn - 4.
*There will be a meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria Monday, February 2, 2015 for girls and parents. If this meeting is cancelled due to weather it will be rescheduled for Thursday, February 5th.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES - Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, February 12th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Teachers will send home forms to set up a conference or you may call the school at 984-2342 to request a conference time.

Grades preschool - 4 Room mother's Valentine's Day Parties will be held in classrooms.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION - KINDERGARTEN SIGN-UP FOR 2015-2016 - It is time to register your child for 2015-2016 kindergarten. He/she must be 5 years old before August 1, 2015. Registration will be the week of March 9 - 13 from 8:00 - 3:00 daily (anytime that week at your convenience). This is a registration only and your child is not required to be here at this time. An appointment will be made for the screening which is scheduled for April 9 and 10. Please bring birth certificate, shot records, Social Security number, and a custody paper if this applies to you. The child must have 5 DPT, 4 polio, 2 MMR, 3 Hepatitis B, and 2 varicella (chickenpox).

CLASS GROUP PICTURES - Daystar will be taking class group pictures on Thursday, February 5th starting at 8:30 a.m.
**Envelope order forms will be sent home with students tomorrow.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION - Please continue to save your boxtops. We will be mailing our boxtops in within the next month.

REGIONAL SPELLING BEE - Congratulations to Denise Young, Evan Swingle, Haydon Reynolds, and Draven Rowland. They will be representing Waterford in the Regional Spelling Bee held Friday, March 13, 2015 at Marietta High School. Good Luck

NURSE NOTES - It looks like the influenza is here. It is a respiratory illness with the following symptoms: fever (100 degrees or greater), body aches, fatigue, cough and runny/stuffy nose. There is also a stomach virus causing vomiting with little or no fever.
" Please keep your child home until they are fever free (without medicine) for 24 hours and have not vomited for 24 hours before sending back to school.
" Encourage frequent hand washing, rest, and drink lots of fluids.
