Congratulations to our band! This past weekend they brought home five
first place trophies.
HALLOWEEN HOMEROOM PARTIES - (Grades K - 4) Will be immediately after band's halftime show, parade around the parking lot and then to classrooms.
OUR COURTYARD - Thank you to all who made our courtyard beautiful. The fall theme with pumpkins, cornstalks, mums, scarecrows and mulch make it very inviting. Waterford FFA, Waterford PTO, Mrs. Joan Smith, Mrs. McCutcheon, Mr. and Mrs. Hartline and Mrs. Amber Peck .. Thank you.
McTeacher Night - Thank you to all who supported our McTeacher Night recently. We made $1,137.00 which will in part be used to replace the school laminator.
REPORT CARDS - Report cards for the first nine weeks will be sent home tomorrow.
Author and Illustrator Visit -Waterford Elementary will host author, Cathy Mower and illustrator, Emily Bonnette Hendershot Friday, November 1st. There will be a book reading, demonstration of pioneer toys and demonstration about the illustration process. The book, Young Thomas Ewing and the Coonskin Library, may be ordered at $17.00 for hard back or $9.00 for paper back.
Waterford Youth Wrestling - Sign-ups will be Friday, November 5th at the Field House behind the Cooper Gym from 6:00 to 6:30. Practice will be 6:30 to 8:00 with a parents meeting at 6:30.
ANTIQUE APPRAISAL - The Lower Muskingum Historical Society will be sponsoring an antique appraisal program Saturday, October 26th from 9:00 to 12:00 noon here in the elementary cafeteria gym. Cost to have your item appraised is $5.00 for the first and $3.00 for each additional item. Proceeds to benefit the building repair projects at the Oliver Tucker Museum in Beverly. Public is welcome! Questions call 984-4037. B -W Jr. Chamber of Commerce will also hold a bake sale.
LUNCH - BREAKFAST -Waterford Elementary serves USDA approved breakfast and lunch each day. Lunch cost $1.65 and breakfast cost $.60. The USDA and Wolf Creek Local Schools are equal opportunity provider and employer.
DUPONTS' FUN WITH SCIENCE - Students Grades 1 - 6 were treated to a wonderful scientific program Monday, October 21st presented by Dupont. Ask your child about this.
PARKING - Reminder, for the safety of our children please do not park in front of the school while picking up your child at the end of the school day. Parents should park on the upper end of the parking lot.
