8TH GRADE PROMOTION - Eighth grade promotion will be Wednesday,
May 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cooper Annex.
KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION - Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.
in the Cooper Annex. Kindergarten students will be dismissed to their
parent or guardian after the ceremony and will begin enjoying their

PINK EYE - There have been several cases of pink eye requiring
eye drops scattered throughout the grade levels. Please be cautious
if you notice the following symptoms: redness of the white part of
eye (sclera), pain, itching and drainage. Consult your physician if
you develop these symptoms. Students requiring eye drops cannot return
to school until they have received 24 hours of drops.
HEAD LICE - Warm weather is here which means we will see an
increase in head lice. Please routinely screen your children and remind
the girls to keep their hair in a ponytail or braid for school.
SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS - If you have not received the Tdap (tetanus,
diphtheria, and pertussis) booster, it is required for seventh grade.
Please provide a copy for our records at school.
LUNCH - Just a reminder the Health/Sanitation Department does
NOT allow the use of kitchen equipment to heat packed lunch food.
Please see that your child can eat their lunch as packed.

and movie night at the Waterford Fairgrounds.

BAND NEWS AND UPDATES
Spring Concert - Tuesday, May 13th @ 7:00 p.m. - WES
Students are to be at the school at 6:30 p.m. for a quick warm up
Attire: NO JEANS OR TENNIS SHOES
SHOULD WEAR DRESS CLOTHES
- Performing at the Fort Frye Concert May 8th and Spring Concert May
Band Rehearsals - "Rookie" rehearsals and full marching
band rehearsals. This is where we will work on marching and learning
the music for the upcoming parade. Rehearsals start on May 5th - Please
check the charms website for more info.
Band and Color Guard signups - If you are interested in participating
in Marching Band or Color guard for the upcoming school year please
see Mr. Maschue ASAP! We currently have 30 students signed up so far
and are looking forward to a great season.
Grade Promotion - Wednesday, May 21st @ 7:00 p.m. WES. This is
what is REQUIRED for all students grade 7 - 12 who are enrolled in
the band class. THIS IS A GRADE, so please plan on attending. Students
are to be at the school at 6:00 p.m. to set up chairs and warm up.
Students should be done by 8:00 p.m. Attire: Dress for this event
is casual, no jeans or tennis shoes.
High School Graduation, Sunday, May 25th
All Band Members 7 - 12 AND Marching Band members are required to
participate in the performance. Band members need to be at WES at
12:30 p.m. for a quick (set up - warm up - tune) before the doors
open at 1:00 p.m.
Day May 26th - Memorial Day Parade - First official performance
of the 2014 Marching Band Season! We will be lining up in the Fort
Frye parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Parade starts at 9:00 a.m.
