GRADE PERIOD – Third grade period ends Friday, March 21, 2014. Report cards will be handed out next Friday, March 28, 2014.

MAKE UP DAY – We will be in session on Monday, April 21, 2014

DR. SEUSS DOOR CONTEST – Classroom doors were decorated in Seuss fashion last week. Students voted with pennies for the winning door. There were a lot of creative doors. A total of $209.13 was raised and will go towards new toys at recess. Mrs. Schaad’s class raised the most pennies and received a new Dr. Seuss classroom book and Seuss stuffed animal.

THANK YOU - Thank you to all who supported the PTO Thirty-one and Longaberger Bingo last Sunday, March 16th. It was a huge success. The PTO is looking to add a new piece of playground equipment.

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART – Students are reminded to continue to collect donations for the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart Fundraiser. Monday, March 24th is the last day to turn in your envelope to Mrs. Welch or Mr. Ryan.

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION T-SHIRTS – We are selling “Get Fired Up” red t-shirts in support of the American Heart Association. T-shirts are $10.00 and may be purchased from Mr. Ryan.

LOST AND FOUND - We have several electronic games, a very nice necklace and quite a collection of jackets, gloves, hats and shoes that have been turned into the office.

LUNCH ACCOUNTS – Please check your child’s lunch account balance. We have several accounts that are overdrawn. **Over payment of funds will be reimbursed at the end of the school year at parents request or roll over to the next year.

STAR STUDENTS – Second grade students in Mrs. Lynch’s room with a 90% to 100% in reading and math are: Jarrett Armstrong, Claire Baldwin, Cam Goeller, Lanee Heiss, Caden McDougle, Aubrey McIntire, Leah Ryan, Morgan Sampson, Addison Schaad, Cody Schaad, Abby Stutler. Mrs. Hartline’s star students were featured on the last Wildcat Connection.

NURSE NOTES – Warm weather is on its way which means we will see an increase in head lice. Please routinely screen your children and remind the girls to keep their hair in a ponytail or braid for school.

TDAP - All sixth grade students will be required to receive a booster for Tdap (tetanus and diphtheria) before entering seventh grade. The Washington County Health Department is available if needed : 374-2782.

KINDERGARTEN SIGN-UPS - Any child that is five years old by August 1, 2014 and has not signed up for kindergarten, please call the school office at 984-2342.

WILDCAT CONNECTION AND MENU – Copies of the Wildcat Connection and lunch menus are available in the office.

GIRLS SOFTBALL SIGN-UPS – Registration forms will be sent home Friday, March 21, 2014. A mandatory parents meeting will be held on March 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Commons at Waterford Elementary.
