NO SCHOOL - There will be no school for students on Friday, Oct. 12. Staff members will be working on professional development.
TEACHER APPRECIATION - Many thanks to the PTO Teacher Appreciation committee who donated all the delicious food for teachers on Parent Teacher conference day. We are fortunate to have such wonderful support! There are still some leftover crockpots and other utensils in the office.
BAND - Congratulation to Mr. Laswell and our Marching Band for placing 2nd place in Class C at the Marietta Band-a-Rama. We're proud of you! Their next competition will be Saturday, October 13 at Maysville High School at 4:00 p.m.
BOOK FAIR - The Student Council has been sponsoring a Scholastic Book Fair this week. Flyers were sent home last week. The last day is Thursday, Oct. 11 from 8:00 -12:30 p.m.
SCHOOL PICTURES are scheduled for next week. K-3 will be Oct. 17 and grades 4-8 will be on Oct. 18. Send no money now. Proofs will be given for orders.
K-2 GRANDPARENTS ARE INVITED FOR LUNCH WITH THEIR GRANDCHILDREN. Grandparents of kindergarten students are invited to eat lunch with their grandchildren on Monday, Oct. 15. Grade 1 on Tuesday, Oct. 16. Grade 2 on Wednesday, Oct. 17. Adult price is $2.10. Send no money now. You will need to be here at 10:45 and pay in the office.
RIF - The American Legion Auxiliary Unit #389 will be sponsoring a RIF (Reading is Fundamental) book distribution to K-6 students on Monday, October 29. This is a very worthwhile program and is much appreciated.
HALLOWEEN FAMILY FUN NIGHT -The Beverly Waterford Rescue Squad will be sponsoring a Halloween fun night October 30th at 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the squad building on 4th Street in Beverly. There will be games and hayrides pulled by REAL mules! There will be cotton candy, fresh popped popcorn, donuts, cookies, coffee and hot cider. Also door prizes. This is open to the public. A scary good time!
BOYS PEE WEE BASKETBALL - There is a MANDATORY parent meeting and player assessment for all boys playing pee wee basketball on Monday, October 15th at 6:30 at the Cooper. This is also the LAST CHANCE for any boy to sign up who hasn't already done so. There is a $35 registration fee.
