SCARY STORY WINNERS - Several of our students placed in the Marietta Times Scary Story contest. The following students won awards with their art work: grade 1 - 1st place Whitney Minx, grade 2 - 1st place Jonathan Claggett, grade 3 - 3rd place Mackenzie Fenton, grade 5 - 1st place Kirstin Offenberger, grade 6 - 3rd place Maggie Schaad, grade 8 1st place Janice Whalin, 2nd place Isaac Trader, 3rd place Regan Porter. VETERANS DAY - Thursday afternoon the American Legion will present a Veterans Day program at 1:30 pm in the Cooper gym. This year each grade in our building will be presenting something during the program. We would like to invite any veterans to come and be recognized for their service to our country.
NO SCHOOL NOVEMBER 11 - VETERANS DAY.

TOYS FOR CHILDREN - Applications were sent home last week. The deadline to apply is Wed. Nov. 23. There will be a collection tub in the office for donations of new or gently used toys. Money donations would be greatly appreciated. Sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary #389.

PICTURES - If you missed the deadline to order pictures you may still order online at www.daystarfoto.com. Use the PASSWORD provided on the proof that was sent home to access your student's photo image. They will be here Dec. 2 for remakes and candid shots for the yearbook.

PTO UPDATE: The PTO would like to thank all of you for your hard work on the Fall Fundraiser. The items will be ready for pick up on Wed. Nov. 16 after school until 5:00 pm in the commons. We are very excited to sponsor two upcoming events for our students.
· Winter fundraiser is Butter Braids. Please send orders back by Nov. 16th. They will be delivered by Christmas.
· °A day at the theatre for the 8th graders. On November 9th these students will be traveling to Columbus to attend a theatrical performance of five classic short stories. The performance is entitled Encore and will be performed by the Chamber Theatre Company, America's premiere educational theatre company.
°Secret Santa will run Dec. 12-16. We will again offer Waterford items. These will cost no more than $5.00. All other items will be $2.00.
°COSI on wheels. Everyone in the building will be enjoying this on Dec. 21st. (This event is being co-sponsored by the Beverly-Waterford Chamber of Commerce.

We need volunteers. Volunteers must be fingerprinted. If interested contact the PTO.

THANKSGIVING - There will be NO SCHOOL November 24 (Thanksgiving day), Friday, Nov. 25 and Monday, Nov. 28.
