GRANDPARENTS - Thanks to all the grandparents who came for lunch with your grandchildren this week. We had a great turn out and appreciate your support. The kids love it!

OPEN HOUSE - You are invited to come to Open House on Monday, Sept. 19th at 7:00 p.m. There will be a short PTO meeting in the Commons area of the Cooper Annex and then you will be excused to visit your child's classroom. There will be sign up sheets in the classrooms for room mother volunteers. Everyone is welcome.

TITLE 1 PROGRAM - The fall meeting for Title 1 parents will be held in the school library on Monday, Sept. 19 at 6:15 pm just before the PTO Open House.

PTO - The PTO will be sending home catalogs for a fundraiser next week. They will also be selling T-shirts. Also anyone interested in being on the Teacher Appreciation committee let us know. (984-2342) Officers are: President - Amy Ketchum, Vice President - Kirsten Goeller, Secretary - Missy Hartline, Treasurer - Beth Huck, Liasion - JoAnn Welch and Michele Oliver.

PARENT - TEACHER CONFERENCES - On Septembr 29th school will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m. Parent conferences are scheduled from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Teachers will schedule a time for your conference. There will be no school the next day (9/30/2011).

NURSE NOTES - We will begin a new 10-week session for Weight Watchers on Thursday, Sept. 22 after school in the high school library. We are trying to get enough people to also hold a morning session on Wednesdays at 7 a.m. in the elementary library. Please call ASAP if you are interested.
It is a requirement for all students in grades 7 and 8 to have received a tetanus booster (Tdap/Td). Please send in proof if you have not already done so.
Please continue to screen your children for head lice. Remind them not to share hair care items, hats, head bands, and keep long hair in pony tail or braids.
SWISH PROGRAM (fluoride mouth rinse) will begin next week.

BOXTOPS - We continue to save Boxtops for Education and bar codes from Campbell labels. We made over $1100.00 last year with the boxtops. The money is spent on student awards, etc. Keep saving and it really helps if you could trim around them before sending them in.

BAND - The Marching Band is scheduled for several upcoming competitions:
