RELAY FOR LIFE - Students have enjoyed wearing hats, sun glasses, pajama pants, wacky hair and crazy clothes all day for a small fee (50 cents each day). "Pie in the face" was a huge hit on Tuesday. Don't forget to wear yellow on Friday to represent childhood cancers. Bring extra change Friday for many activities during Relay, and put sunscreen on your child as a prevention - the forecast looks great so we will be outside.

CARNIVAL RAFFLE WINNERS: 1st place grill - Jennifer Heiss, 2nd place bike - Debbie Pritchett, 3rd place Beverly Pool Pass - Taneka Sparling, 4th place a 31 bag - Jean Knapke, and 5th place a flower - Kelly Adams. Thanks to all for making a carnival a great success!

6TH GRADE SCIENCE CAMP - The sixth grade students will be spending two days at Camp Hervida Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22. They will be staying overnight with parents chaperoning and sleeping with them in the cabins. They really enjoy this annual campout and have many interesting science projects and stories to tell.

FIELD TRIPS - Our students have enjoyed several field trips recently. The 2nd grade students are going to Stacy's farm and pick strawberries Monday, May 21st. What fun!

CAMP READ-A-LOT - A reminder from Mrs. Smith to get those applications in for Camp Read-a-Lot this summer. Notices were sent home last week. This camp is for students completing grades K-4 this year. It is open for all who would like to come. Date is Monday - Friday, August 6 - 19, 8:15 am to 12:15 pm.

8TH GRADE PROMOTION - Eighth grade promotion ceremony will be Wednesday, May 23 at 7:00 pm in the Cooper Gym. Everyone is welcome to attend.

KINDERGARTEN PROMOTION - The kindergarten will graduate Thursday morning, May 24 at 9:00 a.m. in the Cooper Gym. The students are finished with school for the year and are to go home with parents. They will not be here for lunch.

BEGINNING PIANO LESSONS - (for students going into the second grade) Lessons staring the week of June 4. $20.00 per lesson (once weekly for 30 minutes). Upright piano recommended (keyboard allowed). Contact Beverly Fulmer (984-4466).

GYMNASTICS - The Gym Factory & Buckeye All Stars new season is starting with first clinic on May 24th at 6:30 pm at the Rock Church. Hip Hop enrollment will be May 26th at The Gym Factory from 10am - 2pm. To sign up or if questions call Karri & Kayla Lewis at 749-984-8060.

LAST DAY of school is Friday, May 25. Awards assembly will be (grades 1-3 at 9:30-10:15); (4, 5, 6 at 10:15-11:00); (7-8 at 11:00-11:45). Students may go home with parents after awards if you wish. Lunch at the usual time. Dismissal will be 1:00 p.m. School starts August 22 next year. Class lists will be posted on the door Wed., Aug. 15.
