SPRING BREAK - We have a change on our original calendar. Break for students will be April 5, 6, 9, 10. Classes will resume April 11.

EASTER PARTIES - Room mother parties for grades K-4 will be Wednesday, April 4 at 2:30 p.m.

VISITING POET - Our students were very excited to have Poet Kenn Nesbitt visiting our school. He received a warm welcome as he entered the building with students lining the halls to greet him. He presented a wonderful program. Thanks for the lunch contributed by PTO mothers.

ART - The Waterford Grange sponsored an art contest for fifth graders They drew pictures of American presidents. The following students were chosen as winners by the Grange and were invited to a dinner and program where they were presented with awards. Winners were Russell Young, Brock Hayes, Audrey Stutler, Allex Teters, and Braden Bellville. The winning posters are on display currently in the Beverly Library. All the fifth grade students received gold dollars. Thank you Grange members!

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART - Students collected $3063.00 for the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser. Jr. High students turned in $177.00 for the Elle Foundation. Thanks!

REGIONAL SPELLING BEE - Our students performed well in the Regional Spelling Bee at Marietta High School in March. Noah Hilverding finished 8th, Denise Young 21st, Ana-Sophia Beardsley 26th, and Allex Teters 40th.

CAJOE DEDICATION - Join the Waterford High School Band and local Historical Societies for dedication ceremonies for the new fence at the Micajah "Cajoe" Phillips cemetery on Thursday, April 5 at 1:00 p.m. Cajoe was a former slave who lived in this area for many years. NURSE NEWS: All 6th grade students will need a Tdap (tetanus, diptheria and pertussis) booster to enter 7th grade. Please bring a copy of this to school once your child has received this. Due to funding, the Health Department will not be able to come to the school to give this required immunization
NURSE NOTES: The American Cancer Society has changed the name of our mimi Relay for Life to Relay Recess. We have scheduled this day for May 18th. More news to come on the Junior High Student Council's ideas for fund-raising at school. So…start gathering your spare change!
