RIF - Last week our K-6 students received free books from American Legion Auxiliary #389 through the Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program. We are very fortunate to have AEP Waterford and Muskingum plants as sponsors for this program as our school does not qualify for government funding. RIF is scheduled at our school three times a year and has been offered for more than 30 years. RIF teaches students that reading is fun. By reading with your children and encouraging them to read on their own, you are helping them become better readers, better listeners, and better students. Thank you RIF!

PTO SECRET SANTA - Volunteers are still needed to help with Secret Santa Shop Dec. 6 - 10 from 8:00 - 2:00. Call the school 984-2342 if you would like to volunteer.

REPORT CARDS will go home Friday, Nov. 5th.

VETERANS DAY PROGRAM is scheduled for Nov. 9th at 1:00 p.m.

NO SCHOOL VETERANS DAY THURSDAY, NOV. 11 and FRIDAY, NOV. 12.
Thanksgiving break will be Nov. 25th, 26th, and 29th.

SCARY STORIES - We had several students who were winners in the Scary Story contest sponsored by the Marietta Times. Alyvia Oliver and Madison Ohse's stories won 1st place. Their stories were read on radio WMOA. Others who placed with stories or art work were Ethan Miller, Khloee Ross, David Simpson, Jazmine Farmer, Alyvia Oliver (art), Ciara Hilverding, Cylus Reynolds, Bryce Rohrer, Jimmy Weaver, Emma Maddox, Tiffany Holland, Garrett Lemasters, Chelsey Streight, Megan Whalin, Olivia Bellville.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS - Remember to turn clocks back an hour Sunday, November 7th.

AUTHOR - Author Phil Bildner from New York City visited our school today. He autographed several books which were purchased by our students. Everyone enjoyed his visit. We still have books available for sale but they will not be autographed.

MIX IT UP - Reminder that Tuesday, Nov. 9 is "Mix It Up" at lunchtime. By taking a new seat students can meet new people and can learn that no matter what our differences are, we can all be friends. So "Mix It Up"!

PTO - The Tri C fundraiser catalog items will be delivered and need to be picked up Monday, Nov. 8 after school until 5:00 p.m. in the commons area downstairs. Shirts and pants are still available. The next PTO meeting will be Monday, Nov. 15 at 3:30 p.m. in the school library. Everyone is welcome to attend.

ART FEES - We still have students who have not paid art fees. Please pay ASAP.
