THANK YOU Beverly Citizens Bank for supplying awards for our honor roll students. They really appreciate the recognition for their hard work.

PICTURE MAKE UP DAY - November 24th is scheduled as a make up day for students who were absent on the original dates. There is no money involved at this time. A proof and price list will be sent home later.

THANKSGIVING BREAK - There will be no school on Nov. 26th (Thanksgiving Day), Friday, Nov. 27 and Monday, Nov. 30. Classes will resume on Tues. Dec. 1.

THANKS to the American Legion for the great Veteran's Day program. It was very well done as usual.

RIF - The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 389 will again be presenting our K-6 students with free books through the RIF (Reading is Fundamental) program Monday, Nov. 16. They have been sponsoring this very worthwhile program to our school for many years and have donated hundreds of books to our students. Wonderful!

STAR STUDENTS - Second graders who earned 93% or above in reading and math are recognized as Star Students this grading period. The first grade will be included in the second grade period. Star students are: Alyssa Doak, Zane Heiss, Katlyn Huck, Marissa Neader, Cage Perdue, Hayden Reynolds, Miranda Sampson, Brooks Suprano, Jon Wagner, Joseph Zimmer.

HONOR ROLL - Grades 3 - 8 students who achieved Principal and Merit Rolls are listed on the back of today's Wildcat Connection. Principal's Roll is all A's and B's with a grade point average of 4.00 - 3.50. Merit Roll is all A's and B's, not more than one C with a grade point average of 3.49 - 3.00.

LOST AND FOUND - Has your child lost a jacket? We have a full table of lost and found articles. Check it out!!

TOYS FOR CHILDREN - There is a collection tub in our office for donations for the Toys for Children program. The American Legion Auxiliary is collecting new or gently used toys, no stuffed toys please. Money donations would also be appreciated. The donations will be picked up Friday, Dec. 4.

LOCKDOWN - Our school is required to have a practice lockdown drill before December 1. It will be the week of Thanksgiving break. The drill will be used in cases where the safety of students is involved. For example: stranger is in the building, gun fire, police helicopter overhead, civil disruption and/or active shooting in the building. Hopefully we will never have to use a lockdown but we must be prepared. Please help us to make sure that your child is not frightened. It is similar to a fire or tornado drill.

NURSE NOTE: We will still accept the yellow permission forms for H1N1 flul shots.
