WILDCAT CONNECTION - As you probably noticed there was no Wildcat Connection printed last week. As an effort to conserve paper and copies, it will be published bi-weekly.

GRADE CARDS - Report cards will be sent home Wednesday, Nov. 4

PERFECT ATTENDANCE - There will be no special recognition for perfect attendance. This will prevent students from coming to school sick for this reason.

PICTURES - November 24 has been scheduled as a make-up picture day for students who were absent last week. There is no money involved at this time. You will receive a proof.

HALLOWEEN PARTIES - Room mother parties for grades K-4 will be Friday, October 30 at 2:30 p.m. Bring costumes for a parade around the parking lot.

BAND NEWS - The Waterford Wildcat Marching Band had another successful weekend while performing at the "Tri-Valley Classic" on Saturday. They took home First Place in Class C, and qualified for state competition for the second time this season. Future performances:
10/30/09 - Football (HOME) - The band will be celebrating senior night in style…with Halloween costumes! They will perform at 2:30 pm for elementary students.
11/1/09 - State Marching Band Finals - The band is competing at state at the University of Dayton Welcome Stadium in Dayton, Ohio. They performs at 1:15 p.m.
The band also has a new updated website! The site features news, photos, videos, and events of the band. Please check it out!

- This is the last week for the cookie dough/jewelry fundraiser. Students need to turn in their order forms no later than Friday, October 30!
Honor Choir rehearsals: Junior High Honor choir students will be rehearsing on Wednesdays (Oct. 28, Nov. 4, Nov. 11, Nov. 18) from 3:15 - 4:00 pm to prepare for the honor choir festival on November 21.

MIX IT UP AT LUNCH DAY is coming to WES Nov. 10. We will join thousands of schools across the nation to combat social boundaries at school. Students and teachers will sit with someone new at lunch.

TIME CHANGE - Remember to turn clocks back one hour on Sunday, November 1.

VETERANS DAY - The American Legion will be presenting a Veterans Day program to our students on Monday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cooper gym.


PARENT ASSISTANT PARTICIPATION - It is not too late to return the yellow forms for the Parent Assistant program . You will be able to log in to check your child's assignments, grades, attendance records, discipline, and standardized test information via the internet. We have extra sign up forms in the office if you need one. Questions contact Miss Green at 984-2373.

NURSE'S NOTES - Please return signed forms indicating whether or not you want your child to receive the H1N1 vaccine at school. We must receive a form back on each child. Even though the date has not been determined, we need the forms back as soon as possible.
