WE HAVE A CHAMPION! Seventh grader Bobby Thomas won first place in the Regional Spelling Bee. He now qualifies for the National Bee in Washington D. C.! With 51 contestants, our four spellers placed in the first 18 places. Derek Huck was 12th, Taylor Hilverding was 14th, and Madison Sury was 18th. Waterford pride!!!
NATIONAL LUNCH WEEK - We have enjoyed the K - 3 grandparents who ate lunch with us this week. Thanks for coming!
BOOK FAIR - There is still time to buy great books from the Scholastic Book Fair which has been going on this week. They will be open until 12:30 Friday, Mar. 26.
KINDERGARTEN - Registration for next year's kindergarten was last week. Screening dates are April 12 and 13th. Regular kindergarten classes will be cancelled these days.
EASTER PARTIES - Grades K-4 room mother Easter parties will be Thursday, April 1 at 2:30.
NO SCHOOL ON GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 2. SCHOOL WILL BE IN SESSION APRIL 5 AND 6 AS MAKE-UP DAYS.
CHOIR CONCERT - The 7 - 12 grades choir will present a spring concert on April 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the commons area of the H. W. Cooper annex. Everyone welcome!
OHIO ACHIEVEMENT TESTS will be given to students in grades 3 - 8 beginning Friday, April 23 and the following week April 26 - 30. Make-ups the last week in April. Please try to schedule appointments another time if possible and make sure students arrive at school on time.

BUNNY HOP - registration forms are available in the school office for the 8th Annual Beverly Waterford Bunny Hop 5K run/Walk on Saturday, April 3.
ANTIQUITIES PORTRAITS - The PTO is sponsoring an Antiquities Portrait program on the weekend of April 17. Information is being sent home today with details. The coupon with $10.00 deposit entitles you to one 10X13 portrait. Limit to one coupon per family. Portraits will be back before Mothers Day. Great gift idea!
