WELCOME BACK - Wow, Old Man Winter has returned with vengeance. Hopefully the worst is over and we can get back to normal. I think we're all glad to be back. The first semester grading period has been extended to end Friday, Jan. 22. Grade cards will go home Friday, Jan. 29.

DISASTER RELIEF - WES will be conducting a one-day money drive to donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief on tomorrow Friday, January 15. If you have any change or dollars you can spare please consider donating to this cause. The school will be making a one-time donation tomorrow afternoon to the Marietta Red Cross for the efforts taking place in Haiti due to the earthquake on January 12 of a magnitude of 7.0.

FOOD DRIVE - Thanks to all of you who donated items for the local Food Pantry. The grand total of items collected was 3,279! The top 3 classes earning pizza parties are 1st place with 414 items - Mrs. McCurdy's kindergarten, 2nd place was Mr. Miller's 8th grade with 384 items, and 3rd place was Mr. Barnett's 6th grade with 352 items. You helped make a better Christmas for many families in our area.

H1N1 - The Washington Co. Health Dept will be here Friday, Jan. 21 at 8:30 a.m. with the second shot for children nine years old and younger.

MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY - There will be no school Monday, Jan. 18.

PICTURES - Class group pictures will be taken Friday, January 28. Money must accompany orders. More information will follow.

NOTES: MADGE CRANE, long time teacher at Watertown School will turn 95 on January 14, 2010. Her family would like for everyone to send her a birthday card. PEE WEE GIRLS - There is a meeting for parents of pee wee girls basketball players basketball players January 16 at 9:00 a.m. in the high school cafeteria to discuss the upcoming tournament.
