WELCOME BACK - It's great to be back. There is excitement in the air as students return to school. Ready, set, go! We'll have a good year!
STAFF - We welcome our new principal, Mr. Doug Baldwin, our new Band Director Mr. John Laswell, Speech Therapist Mrs. Michele George, and TAG teacher Miss Jordan Blackstone. We wish Mr. Hoff the best in his retirement.
HANDOUTS - Your child should bring home this week: free lunch forms student handbook, insurance forms, and emergency card. Please send the emergency card back ASAP. Please add more than one number as we may need to reach you quickly in an emergency. Students who were approved for free or reduced lunch last year may still receive lunch temporarily, but a new application must be filed each year to continue.
LUNCH - Student lunch price is $1.50, reduced price is 40 cents. In an emergency, students may charge lunch. However five charges is the limit allowed. Breakfast is 60 cents and and must be paid (no charges).
EARLY ARRIVALS - Students arriving at school before 8:00 a.m. are to wait outside the front entrance during suitable weather until the bell rings. Parents who bring children to school must use the side parking lot to drop them off or pick them up (this includes Jr. high students). The tardy bell rings at 8:20 a.m. School is dismissed starting at 3:05. There will be no parking in the front parking lot. That area is to be used for bus loading and unloading. We must put student safety first! If you are picking your child up from school, do not stand outside their classrooms. Wait in the hall by the office or outside the entrance.
ABSENCE - Please call the office before 9:00 a.m. if your child will be absent (984-2342). Mrs. Ball will be available by 7:45 a.m. You may also leave a message any time. If we do not hear from you, office personnel will try to call you at home or at work. If we have no contact with you, the absence will be unexcused.
GIRLS BASKETBALL - Girls in grades 3-6 interested in playing pee
wee girls basketball the final sign-up deadline is Wed. Sept. 2. Games
begin on Sept. 19 and run every Saturday through Oct. 21. Cost is
$25 for a uniform. Consent/sign-up and emergency medical forms must
be completed. Practice/sign up dates for 3 - 4: Thur. Aug. 27 6-8
pm @ high school; Sat., Aug. 29 10:30-12:30 am @ high school; Mon.
Aug. 31 6-8 pm at Cooper.
WILDCAT CONNECTION - This is the first issue of our weekly newsletter. This will be handed out usually on Thursday of each week. Take time to read our news. This is our communication with you as to school happenings and upcoming events.
- Students will not be released to anyone other than a parent without
a note or call from the parent. We must have a note or call if they
are to ride another bus (home with another student, daycare, etc.)
If you wish to pick your child up after school, be on time. If we
do not hear otherwise, your child will be put on the bus. If you need
to pick your child up mid-day, you must come to the office to sign
