TESTING
Our two weeks of OAT testing is finally over. Thanks so much for
your cooperation in trying to make sure your child was present on those
day. Results of the tests will not be back until mid-summer. The test
scores will be mailed home when we receive them. REWARD FOR TEST – As
a reward for students in grades 3 – 8 for great test weeks those students
will be going skating at the Marietta Roller Rink Friday, May 1. There
is no charge. The PTO is paying for admission. Grades 3-5 will be leaving
at 8:30 and return at 11:30. Grades 6 – 8 will leave at 11:45 and return
at 2.30. Students will still eat lunch at school. Wonderful!!!!!
SAFETY TOWN
The Safetytown enrollment
forms are now available in the school office. Safetytown is designed
for children who will be entering kindergarten next fall. Dates for
the program are June 1-12 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon daily for 10
days. All sessions will be held rain or shine at Beverly-Center Elementary
School. The Beverly Lions Club sponsors Safetytown in cooperation with
Wolf Creek and Fort Frye Schools, area fire, police, water, natural
resources organizations and others. Activities include Identity Training,
Automobile Safety, Home Safety, Water Safety, Farm Safety, and Friends
in the Community. This program is very worthwhile. There is no charge.
FARMER’S MARKET
The Waterford FFA Alumni will be sponsoring a Farmer’s Market every
Thursday 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. June to September. It will be held in the
Waterford Elementary parking lot. For more information contact Missy

MINI RELAY FOR LIFE
On Friday, May 8 students in grades K-8 will participate in our annual
mini Relay for Life to benefit the fight against cancer. A collection
envelope and letter highlighting the events will be sent home this week.
Please read carefully so that you know what is going on. We will have
our memorial wall display to honor and remember your loved ones that
have battled cancer. Thanks so much for your support of this very worthy
cause.

(WHS gym if raining). Fun for everyone – come and have fun!!!! * Raffle
tickets can still be sold until May 8. * Basket Raffle – Please have
your child bring in his/her basket goodies by Wed. May 5. Kindergarten
– gardening / home improvement
First – kitchen Second – summer fun Third/Fourth – toy chest Fifth /
Sixth – arts / crafts * PTO is also selling T-shirts which say “Waterford
Excellent School” – Ohio’s Best Rating. They are green with white lettering.
