The staff at WES is sending a heartfelt THANKS for the tasty food sent on Parent Conference Day. Your thoughtfulness and generosity made a 12 hour day palatable. There are still some crockpots and other utensils left that need to be returned.

Second grade students who achieved 93 % in reading and math for the second nine week grading period are: Rachel Adams, Emma Baldwin, Ana-Sophia Beardsley, Maria Blaker, Colton Decker, Brock Hayes,

Both Jr. High girls basketball teams won their first tournament game. They will be playing again Thursday night, Feb. 19th.. Come and support our teams!

Reminder that yearbook orders must be in this week. The cost is $12.00 for the 2008-2009 full color yearbook. Make checks payable to Waterford Elementary School.

Please send in any boxtops that you have ASAP. We must send them in next week for redemption. They are worth 10 cents each for our school. At this time we have collected $679.80. Let's try to make it $800.00. The money is spent for honor roll and other studentawards. Thanks and keep saving!

We have already made up two of the three days that we missed because of bad weather. The third make up day is scheduled for the Monday after Easter, April 13. If we miss more they will be made up at the end of the year. Hopefully we won't need this!

Kindergarten registration for next year will be the week of March 16 - 20. Your child must be 5 years old before August 1, 2009. Bring shot records, birth certificate, Social Security card, and a custody paper if this applies to you.

Waterford Elementary School recently obtained the full collection of Scholastic Reading Counts! quizzes. We are very excited to announce that this now gives us over 39,000 quizzes. In addition, we will
be getting monthly updates of new quizzes. If we were to print out the list of all these titles, it would be at least
1000 pages. Plus, with monthly updates, the list would soon be out of date. To see what quizzes are available if you wish to look for books at the public library, you can check at the Scholastic Reading Counts!
website. Go to Click on Librarians. Click on Scholastic Reading Counts. Click on browse the e-catalog. You can search by title or author. Please call Janet Smith at the elementary library or Carol Chase at the high school if you have questions.
