GRADE PERIOD ? The
2nd nine weeks and the first semester will end Friday,January 16th. Report
cards will go home Friday, Jan. 23. Parentconference day will be February
13th. Teachers will soon be working on
NO SCHOOL ? There will be no school Monday, January 19 (Martin Luther King Day).
CHEERLEADER COMPETITION ? Cheerleaders from 10 area schools will be competing Saturday, January 17 beginning at 10:00 a.m. here in the Cooper gym. Admission for spectators will be $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. Come and support our cheerleaders!
ADOPT A BOOK ? The
PTO still features their Adopt a Book program. If you would like to adopt
a book for the school library in memory of someone (grandchild, etc.) books
available are in the glass showcase in the main
hallway by the library. See Mrs. Janet Smith, Librarian for details.
BETH ROE?S NURSES
NOTES: Just a reminder, we are still in need of two PlayStation 2 game systems
to be able to use our Dance Dance Revolution game to be active during indoor
recess. Let me know if any of you
upgraded to a better system and no longer need your PS2 or if you are willing to donate toward the purchase of a used system.
GO GREEN!! ? It means
something a little different when we think about the environment and the world
in which we live. We can all do our part to reduce what we send to the land
fills in our garbage by recycling aluminum
and steel cans, plastics numbered 1 through 7, newspapers, magazines, glass and cardboard. If you have never recycled before, start small with saving 1 or 2 types of items until you get the hang of it. Call me if you
EYEGLASSES ? The Muskingum Valley Leo Club is collecting used eyeglasses. If you have any old glasses to donate, there is a collection box on ourschool counter.
BOXTOPS AND LABELS ? The deadline to redeem Boxtops for Education is the last week of February. If you have some, please try to get them in soon so we can get them ready to send. Also, the rule for Campbell?s labels has changed. We do not send the front of the label now. Instead we need the barcode from the label. Thanks for your help and keep saving!
